Wheat Industry Analyses

Wheat Industry Analyses - Vital information, analysis and reports to help you make the right decisions

If you are involved in the wheat industry in any capacity this information is essential for you to have available any time you wish to confirm a story or comment on world or specific country wheat trends. You cannot afford to be fed possibly misleading statements or facts about trends or forecasts without the capacity to verify them.

These comprehensive Excel spreadsheets provide the area harvested, production, yields and average yield trends, imports and exports, total consumption, as well as consumption as food and stock feed, consumption expressed on a per person basis as well as stocks and stocks as a % of total use. These records extend back to 1961 or to the earliest point in time when records are available and relevant.

In addition to the data, each spreadsheet has a comprehensive number of charts (generally between 15 and 32 charts) embedded in the spreadsheet and linked to the data. These charts help identify the relevant trends in the key parameters and enable you to assess the key trends and likely developments in the world wheat industry.

The files cover the world data as well as the 15 main country contributors to the world's grain trade and include the latest data and forecasts available.

Additional analysis of the records in some cases can include annual consumption changes, exports as a % of total production, imports as a % of total use and annual prices. Details of the content of each file can be obtained by expanding each file's data below.

Each file contains at least 3 spreadsheets. The first sheet provides details of the data analysis, an update of the changes since the last forecast and some background notes on the wheat industry in the country under study. The second sheet provides the data and the charts derived from that data. The third sheet provides details of the 2008/09 forecast for production, consumption, imports, exports, stocks and feed use for all countries in descending order of magnitude for each. This table provides a valuable snapshot of the structure of the world wheat industry and where each country covered lies in the overall structure.

The detailed spreadsheets are used in the production of many of the graphics in the Analysing Agriculture newsletter and will be kept up to date as new figures are released. Changes between updates will be outlined on the first spreadsheet of each file.

A free analysis of details of the Kazakhstan wheat industry is available for you to assess the typical file contents. Note that you must be registered with AnalysingAgriculture.com to download the files.  Registration alone is free.

The Excel files will be particularly useful for those seeking graphs or tables for presentations, for authors seeking commodity and country specific records and for those involved in the wheat industry who are seeking greater knowledge of trends in other countries.

If you are involved in the wheat industry in any manner you can have access to all these analysed data bases by subscribing to the Wheat Industry Analyses.  For best value, a full subscription to AnalysingAgriculture.com should be considered.
